This is yelps Review of the Day or ROTD as yelpers call it.

Yelp says it is voted by yelpers, using the useful funny and cool buttons.

We all know this is not the case.

The Community managers randomly choose these ROTD's and usually choose business that have paid the extortion fee or the advertising fee as yelp likes to call it.

Either that or the CM will choose a member for the ROTD that they "like".

It has nothing to do with being "voted" by members.

If you the reader do decide to join yelp, it is advised not to join in the threads for at least five months. The subject matter of the threads might not be anything a mature person may want to participate in

Why, you might ask? Because yelp members can flag you and have your new account closed, if they decide they don't like you. Here's a few examples of message board threads on very immature topics and this is just the tip of the iceberg because most of the time the threads are all about immature topics or full of drama -

Okay, I seriously don't want to gross anyone out but I'm wondering if anyone out there has a similar problem with their dog. Mine recently has been chewing, skidding, and gnawing on her rear end. I gave her a deep bath/flea treatment but it hasn't helped. My guess is that she needs her anal gland emptied. I took her to a local Petco and had the bath/gland treatment about a year ago. I'm not sure if they really did the gland thing because I wasn't there to watch. Adler Vet does it but charges a lot because I would have to pay for her visit (min $50) and then for the actually gland treatment. I can't seem to do it myself without feeling like I'm violating her and/or gagging. Do any of you peeps out there know of a reasonable place that will do this
